About Sybaritic and TechStop

A statement from Graeme Simms, previous owner of Sybaritic, and current Business Developer at TechStop:

Sybaritic founded operations in 2002 and were very successful. We achieved significant growth over these 12 years which can be attributed to a loyal following with a large client base. This growth necessitated decisions to expand Sybaritic in what subsequently proved to be declining economy.

All measures were taken to keep Sybaritic going and afloat, and I invested significant additional funds into the company. As a result, I remain the largest creditor to Sybaritic.

Forecasts were made that proved to be incorrect for these changes in the economy, which affected our costing. There were warehousing and staff obligations that we could not maintain.

When it became clear that Sybaritic was insolvent, we initially wanted to dramatically scale back on the overhead and trade out of the situation, but it was under legal counsel that we made the painful decision to shut operations down. I subsequently applied for voluntary liquidation, which was done in an effort to personally take responsibility for the situation Sybaritic was in. No entrepreneur is infallible from things that can go wrong in any business.

I have since taken on the role at TechStop as a business developer for investors. These investors have faith in my abilities and my experience from the 12 years of operating Sybaritic. Respectfully they do not wish to have their information made as publicly available as mine has been. Along with the lessons learnt from unfortunate decisions, I am being utilised to develop and grow the TechStop website and brand. In keeping with the relationships developed with loyal customers from Sybaritic, TechStop are making every effort to improve upon the service that many of those customers have come to expect and relied upon. These values will be carried forward, and become synonymous with the TechStop brand.
